FCP 11.1 Update produces bad Audio Quality for social platforms, iMovie is OK for same clip.

I just updated FCP 11.1 to latest patch. I have a video clip and normal audio and when I share "Social Platforms" generated video has poor audio quality as if it has badly compressed (choppy sound, etc). I do the same video and audio on iMovie, generated audio has normal quality. I am on latest MacOs 15.3.2 and on Mac mini with M1.

Any ideas ? Thanks,

EA

Thank you for fast response, Tom.

Video: 1920x1080 30 fps. Audio: Normal sounding 44.1 KHz Stereo MP3. I've used this process (i.e. video generation for Social Media for the last 50 videos with no problem), it started happening after the latest upgrade.

ALSO, I just used Export File (Default) option and that does not have any issues. And, as I've mentioned, iMovie generates final video with no problems, too. Seems like "Social Platforms" video compression has issues on my

system. Curious if anyone experiences this issue, too.

There's nothing wrong with using MP3. I use it all the time, no issues at all. Tom is correct, video standard audio is 48kHz, not 44.1. 44.1 is still used in a lot of media and can sound quite good. Make sure your audio is not "clipping." Meaning it's not hitting the red area in the audio meters.
