How to recover missing photos of a specific date from iCloud?

I was recently looking for some specific photos on my phone but couldn’t find them. I checked my iCloud acct and recently deleted and hidden as well. Nothing. All pictures from a specific day have disappeared. I know the date and there is nothing from that day or the day before or after. I took at least 30 pictures that day but nothing is there. Can they go somewhere else? Is there any other place I can check?
