Erroneously deleted what I thought was a duplicate (Sent) mailbox.

On my MacAir laptop, I've had two mailboxes each for Inbox, Sent & Draft. The first ones are listed under "favorites' and second ones are under the listing "iCloud". I initially moved the "iCloud" Sent mailbox up into the "Favorites", thinking it would combine or merge, but it didn't, so there were now 2 Sent mailboxes in "Favorites" and a copy still under "iCloud". So, I highlighted the "iCloud Sent mailbox (in "favorites") and deleted it, and that resulted in total deletion of all the emails in both Sent mailboxes...and the "iCloud" Sent mailbox is now listed as iCloud and not active. Can I get back the Sent emails?

In my experience if a folder is deleted, the entire folder is moved to the Deleted Items - although you might have to click a disclosure triangle to see the folder as a "subfolder" under Deleted Items - not completely deleted.

If the entire folder is completely deleted, I'm not sure how you could recover it. ICloud mail is server based, like IMAP, so whatever you do locally propagates to the server. Others with more specialized Mail expertise may have other ideas.
