How do I fix 'Camera Not Recognized' error on brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max?

I have a brand new iphone 16 Pro Max and the camera is not working unless I restart it and then it works for maybe one photo and then goes black/dead. Under the settings I have the message of "Camera Not Recognized" error message. I have not opened the phone, changed or modified the camera. The IOS is current to 18.3.2.

You have a faulty camera, take it back to where you purchased it and get a warranty replacement.

You don't "fix" your iPhone. You take it back for a full refund. No reason to start off with problems.

Then, hopefully much better luck on another try with another phone.
