I sometimes play games on my MacBook and if I do, the MacBook Pro regularly crashes.
This started to happen when I upgraded my screen to a 4k 240hz display.

what connections method? please mention EVERY item in the chain, including ratings of your cables

Display: Alienware 32 4K-QD-OLED – AW3225QF
Cable: USB-C to Displayport - It supports UHBR10, HDCP2.3 and Dynamic HDR - supposedly can handle 240hz @ 4k
