Notes crashes on my MacBook Air after upgrading to Sequoia 15.3.2. Notes works fine on my iPhone 12 with iOS 18.3.2. I tried the solution of trashing Notes in an effort to reinstall the app, but I can't get the app in the trash. I control-click on the app and nothing happens at first--no contextual menu. When I control-click a second time it tries to open the Notes app and fails.

Go to > System Settings > [name on top] > iCloud > See All > Notes, and turn off Notes, then turn it back on.
I reinstalled macOS and it solved the problem! Notes works now and displays all of the notes I have entered over the last few years.
Thanks "Mac Jim ID". I started up my Mac in Safe mode. Notes still would not open; i.e., I click on the Notes icon and there is a flash on the screen that immediately disappears.
Does this mean I need to reinstall my macOS?
I did check how much free space I have: 432 GB used out of a total of 494 GB -- 13% free space.
I followed your suggestion and turned it off in iCloud+ and back on. I clicked on the Notes app and it behaved the same as before - it didn't open. I repeated this and Notes still didn't work.
