Iphone stolen and Police returned it.

in January 2024 my iPhone 13 got stolen by a pickpocket. I live in Germany and I was very naive my iPhone didn't have a password code ( I know). Within 20 minutes they restarted my Apple ID password and deactivated the "find my iPhone" feature. At that moment I had no hope so I procedure with the Police statement, they checked the cameras where I was. I moved forward with my life. i got a cheaper iPhone (12) and recovered my iTunes account by February 2024 , I removed the iPhone 13 ( was still attached to my account ) from my iTunes account.

In November 2024 I received a letter letting me know they found the persons identity and they will keep me updated. In December 2024 I got another letter letting me know they will give me my iPhone 13 back since they got the robber. I picked it up...but now my Ex-iPhone (13) has the iTunes of the person whom (I assume) was part of the pickpocket robbery band. I cant log in , I don't have it linked on my iTunes(apple ID) ...i cant even confirm is the same IMEI of mine iPhone 13 . Can i do something to recover that Iphone (13) ?

I have been delaying this post because i really have no hope on this matter.

In case you are wondering yes I have the police paperwork and the purchasing bill.

I hope someone can light me the way out. Thank you for reading this long post.

The IMEI number for confirmation is printed on the SIM card tray.

click here ➜ Find the serial number, EID, or IMEI on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

and here ➜ Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone - Apple Support

If the imei matches the purchase bill, and you bought it directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized reseller, Apple can help you unlock it.
