Ringer volume down when reducing the sound in Instagram

I am observing an issue with the ringer volume. I have "change with buttons" disabled in the sounds and haptics settings, so that i can only adjust the volume of the media with the buttons and the UI. Sometimes when I'm in instagram, and try to reduce the sound, it won't reduce to no sound level, but keeps the sound at about 10%. Then when i retry to decrease it, it decreases the RINGER volume. This is a major issue! Please act accordingly. Ios 18.3.2 , was present in previous versions too.

Additional info: When this happens media is on 50% before going to IG chat, and when swiping down the control panel it moves to 100% , this is when it "becomes" a ringer volume adjuster.
