Unable to delete anything on iPhone as fingerprint won't work

Im trying to delete everything from my phone but it says i need to use my fingerprint for that. The thing is that my fingerprint has not worked for a long time anymore because i dont really have a print on that finger anymore since im 81 years old. to remove the fingerprint i also have to use my fingerprint. Can someone help me with this because i dont know what to do.

Use your passcode instead. In every instance where face ID or fingerprint can be used to unlock or authenticate, a passcode can also be used:

If Touch ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


If you don't know the passcode either, then your only choice would be to:

If you forgot your iPhone passcode or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
