How can I remove the red pointing arrow from my cursor?

Here is the Terminal command required to disable the Caps Lock indicator (best to copy & paste into the Terminal app):

sudo  defaults  write  /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/UIKit.plist  redesigned_text_cursor  -dict-add  Enabled  -bool  NO

I believe there may be a way to do it with terminal commands but you'd need to search for that. There is no way to just turn it off through settings.

Virus is not a synonym for "things I don't like." Among other things, they need to be self-replicating from one computer to another. This isn't even a bug because it's intentional.

HWTech has been kind enough to provide you with the terminal commands I mentioned earlier. Now you don't even have to search for it.

The action you describe eliminates the caps lock cursor, but it also disables the caps lock key itself. I don’t think that’s the answer the OP is looking for.
