How to list a service business without a storefront on Apple Maps?

Hi Everyone!

I own a service business where we do residential service and repairs at customers homes, Apple will not list my business as I don't have a store front for customers to stop by. I have an office for customers to stop by if they needed, I can't repair anything there though.

Looking for some feed back, please.

Thank you for your interest in listing your business with Business Connect.

Although we appreciate your submission, we are unable to honor your request because Maps only accepts businesses with a retail storefront or commercial location that Maps users can visit during business hours without an appointment and where they can reasonably expect to receive on-site services from staff.

Gotcha. Back when I was a contractor (I was a Forman at a commercial construction business) even though we were not a walk in type business, we did have an office where customers could walk in to discuss business on a project. Obviously, same thing... we didn't do any building work there, just the office... and it was "mostly" open all day Mon-Fri... unless one of us was out at a meeting, or bidding jobs... but yeah, 90% of the time someone was in the office.

Local ordinance did have us put a sign up even though the only "walk ins" were existing customers that we were already doing contract work for. The average Joe on the street would not ever be walking in, which it sounds like would be the same with you. Maybe putting up a sign, even if it's something in the window, would be enough to get you on Apple Maps? It was enough for us to be listed.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Their reply makes sense that you need a walk in type of business and storefront. You say you have an office that "customers can stop by if needed"... but is this open all day, meaning regular hours? For example: 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday... or something similar? If it is and you have a sign out front, then I think it should be listed. If not, yeah, I have to agree totally with their decision. I sure wouldn't want to see a repair shop listed on maps only to drive there and find no sign outside, no regular hours, and then find out I should have made an appointment.
