How to Move macOS Sequoia Notifications to Bottom Corners (Right or Left)?

Hi everyone,

The default position of macOS notifications in the upper-right corner is disruptive, as it often obstructs access to browser tabs, app controls, and other essential items like toolbars, or buttons in various apps. I'm currently using macOS Sequoia 15.4 and would like to know if there's a way to move the notifications to the bottom-right or bottom-left corner of the screen.

I know that I can shift notifications to an external display by setting it as my "main display," but I often work in environments where I only have my MacBook Pro and no external displays available.

I've explored System Settings and Notification Center preferences but haven't found an option to change the notification placement. Is this feature available, or are there any workarounds to achieve this?

Notifications, that are enabled via the appropriate method , will always appear in the Top Right of the Screen - Full Stop

Apple designed it to be that way and there is nothing we can do about this

So the Option provided by colleague @den.thed seems as possible solution

That or use the Focus Functionality to Do Not Get Disturbed ( DND )

You can also use the Reduce Interruptions Focus, which uses Apple Intelligence to show you only the most important notifications. See Use the Reduce Interruptions Focus.

FYI - I personally run with all App Notifications turned On

Turn off all App Notifications that are irrelevant for your daily work or usage.

Turn off notifications for an app or website on Mac - Apple Support

I personally run with all App Notifications turned off.

Isn't that the idea?

If you're getting too many, then review the earlier suggestions regarding limiting the number of notifications you get.

Thanks, good to know. It would be nice if Apple gave us a choice of all four corners for Notifications, not only upper right.

Also, it would be fantastic if we could customize the Notification snooze settings to any number of minutes/hours/days like what is available in Calendar alerts. For example, I most often choose 1 hour, but in almost all cases I'd rather be able to choose 2 hours.
