Adding a portable 3rd monitor to Macbook Pro and Dell U4025QW.

I have a Apple 2023 MacBook Pro Laptop M3 along with a Dell U4025QW. I currently have it setup with the Macbook connected to the Thunderbolt 4 upstream port on the Dell and I have the macbook monitor opened. I'd like to add a portable monitor as a 3rd monitor. However whenever I connect the portable monitor on the left over TB4 port on the macbook pro or HDMI cable, I get no signal on the portable monitor. I would think any of the available ports on the Macbook would enable a 3rd monitor. Any idea what my issue is? Would appreciate any help. Thank you!

The 14" M3 MacBook Pro only supports 1 external display when the built in screen is enabled. You cannot have 2 and the built in screen.
