How to Disable All Notification Sounds but Keep Ringtone Active?

In Sounds & Haptics I’ve set Text Tone and Default Alerts to “None”, but some apps still play different sounds for incoming messages - for example WhatsApp uses “Note” and Telegram uses “Rebound.”

How can I completely turn off all notification sounds for all apps while keeping only ringtone active for calls in messengers?

3rd party apps don’t necessarily follow the “rules” for notifications. About the only way to achieve what you seek is to set up a Focus that disables all sounds except ring and possibly message notifications, and leave it on.

Either that, or turn off notifications for all apps individually in settings/Notifications.
