Airpods Max USB C Wired support for Windows

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to these questions.

  1. Do Airpods Max USB-C support wired mode on a Windows computer?
  2. Will I need the usb-c to 3.5mm cable or can I use the included usb-c to usb-c cable?

I plan to use them wireless for my apple devices, but wired for my main computer (windows).

“Use AirPods Max (USB-C) for lossless audio and ultra-low latency audio

You can listen to lossless audio and ultra-low latency audio with AirPods Max (USB-C):

  • Update your device to the most recent software version.
  • Update your AirPods Max to the most recent firmware version.
  • Use the included USB-C to USB-C cable to connect your AirPods Max to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac with a USB-C port.
  • Use a USB-C to USB-A cable to connect your AirPods Max to a Mac with a USB-A port.
  • When AirPods Max are connected to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, turn on Bluetooth to use features such as Siri and Spatial Audio or to make audio calls.”
