I just bought an iPhone 16 a week ago and whenever I charge my phone, I get electric shock from the action button it’s very disturbing and painful. What is the issue?

The issue could be anything from the outlet, charger, charging cable or iPhone.
Try different outlets, different chargers, different cables and confirm their proper operation. If everything checkout, return the iPhone within the Apple 14 day return period and exchange for a different iPhone.
