How do I restore missing files in the 'files' folder on iPhone?

Hello! On my iPhone, all the files in the “files” folder have disappeared; the folders themselves are there, but there are no files! please restore them!

You're not speaking with Apple as this is a user to user only forum, but even if you were, Apple doesn't have your files. Things are encrypted on your phone or in iCloud. Apple can't access either location.


  1. Open the Files App > Tap Browse and look for a Recently Deleted Folder and tap it. See if the files are there and restore them
  2. If they aren't there, open the Settings > Tap your name at the top > Tap iCloud > Make sure the switch is turned on for Files there
