How do I identify and stop fraudulent alerts about cloud storage loss and viruses?

I am continuing to receive an alert that I’ll lose my cloud storage because I’m behind in my payment.

And, I continue to receive an alert that I’ve been hack and have viruses

Are these fraudulent alerts?

Urgent renewal notice for Apple iCloud membership I have been receiving emails that I will loose data and photos if I do not renew cloud membershio. I received an urgent message today telling me it was the last day to renew. Is this notice coming from Apple or have I been scammed? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Apple sends no such text message. Yes, these are designed to get your information. Ignore the messages.
