How to restore deleted call history after iPhone software update?

how to restore call history that was deleted during phone upgrade or software update. We moved from iphone XR to iphone 16, but had to update software to 18.4.1, so i don't know which process created the deletion.

If you set up the new iPhone from the backup on your previous phone, the call history should have transferred to the new iPhone. You might try the following:

Open Settings and Tap your name at the top

Tap iCloud

See Saved to iCloud and tap See All

Make sure the switch is turned on for Phone and FaceTime

If that doesn't help, your carrier has a list of all calls to and from your iPhone. You can log into your carrier account on a web browser and see your call history.

The best place to locate a call history, especially when using a new iPhone unit, is your cellular carrier’s records.

The use of “we” brings to mind an iPhone is owned by exactly one Apple Account which should be used by exactly one person.
