So, if I understood that correctly, you seem to be having an issue with something that is commonly referred to as „ghost tabs“, which are supposedly an issue with safari for quite some time now.
This is a quick summary of stuff that’s been suggested on the web to fix this, in order easier to harder to perform, in my view.
potential solution No. 1
- Disable Handoff
- (restart system)
- Enable Handoff
- (restart system)
potential Solution No. 2
- open Finder
- open the library folder (warning: making changes in this folder could potentially cause damage to your system, if not managed correctly)
- open the safari section (under containers)
- Open „data“
- open „library“
- open „safari“
- Delete 3 files titled „CloudTabs.db“, CloudTabs.db-shm“ and „CloudTabs.db-wai“
![this information was retrieved from a Reddit thread, in r/MacOS, titled „I finally found the solution to safari ghost tabs (Ventura)“, with mixed feedback]
potential solution No. 3
- log out of iCloud on your iPhone
- delete all data from it (factory reset)
- log in again
with a simple google search regarding those „ghost tabs“, you should be able to additionally research yourself if you would like to.
if I got anything wrong, or if you’ve found a solution, feel free to provide additional information in this thread to potentially assist other people. Thank you!
