Increase font, item size system wide

I have seen other posts, especially from PC users who are switching to Mac computers, asking about system wide font increases. I will just say the quiet part out loud that no one seemed willing to discuss, and that the system wide ability to increase font sizes without changing resolution is a PC thing - and for us old people, it's EXTREMELY helpful.

When you do it the Apple way and change the resolution, you lose clarity, and our nice high res screens become useless. Or yes, you can use the magnifying glass - nonsense.

So, Apple, what gives? I need the clarity for my and my wife's eyes but the larger icons and print. So what's up with that? We had a Mac mini a few years ago and switched back to PC due to Quicken not being up to snuff on the Mac. Now eight or ten years later, Quicken is up to snuff and we want to move to the Mac mini (which we purchased at Costco today and I am setting up this evening) as we have iPhones and iPads and this would flesh out our Apple environment. However, now we are older. And a very simple item we have taken for granted does not seem to be available on the products of what I consider to be the premier technology company. I'm rather shocked frankly. I won't troll you with comments about seeing if you need some coding help or suggesting some engineers I know who might be able to help with that. So, how about someone get this back to the powers that be - not because we want you to match Microsoft Windows, but because we are getting older (as are many of your users), and we need the clarity of the high res screens but a little larger item size system wide. Have mercy on us older poor users. We have 90 days with Costco in case we can't get this to look the way we need it to and we really don't want to return it as I'm not enamored with the mini-PC offerings out there right now.
