How do I understand the refund or deduction from a new iPad purchase after trading in an old one at Apple?

Good afternoon, I went to Apple to fix my daughter's iPad, and I ended up buying a new one because it wasn't worth fixing it. They said they would buy her old one for 125 if I'm not mistaken and a new one would cost 299. I said ok, I signed it, paid everything, plus a discount from my card for the purchase and how much would they have to refund me? Or deduct from the value of the new iPad? I didn't see that. Could you please explain it to me because I don't understand?

First, we don’t know where you’re located so we don’t know the currency units involved here. Perhaps “125” means 125 U.S. dollars. Perhaps it means 125 yen, worth a whole lot less.

Anyway, since your daughter’s iPad is admittedly broken, it would be surprising if Apple offered you any significant amount to trade a broken iPad.

You signed something. Read it very carefully.
