I’m trying to install Logic and apps ins to an external drive

I’m on an M2, 16GB RAM, 512HD

The issue is that Logic Pro , unlike a lot of the applications or plug-ins does not give me the option to install any where other than the main hard drive.

This wouldn’t be an issue if I hadn’t already installed a lot of the applications and plug-ins that logic uses to an external drive. Is there anyway to either get logic to look for plug-ins in an external drive or install logic on an external drive?

Mac mini, macOS 15.4

Have you tried simply dragging the Logic Pro application into place on the external drive?

Thank you for responding but I already have the library on an external. I am talking about the actual logic app and plug ins that use the logic app. Because I installed a bunch of plug ins to the external but it doesn’t seem to be finding them and I’m unable to use them in Logic. Why the library works, but not plug ins installed on them, I do not know.

Wondering if I can install logic on an external and use the plug ins that way. Because so far it seems negative.
