Unable to reset Apple Account password after multiple attempts

I had moved off apple for couple of years to android and my daughter got me a new iphone and i didnt remember the password so after a couple of wrong retry we decided to reset the password but the request to reset got rejected for no rhyme or reason.


I spoke to customer care with lot of frustration and since i am conclusively not able to fix my apple account i am creating this case from my daughters account so that other people who are facing this issue can help..


This is already making me not move to apple just for the fact that the make it such a pain.


Please find a way to resolve this apple before more people get frustrated and move away.
