Why does my Keynote show a blank slide first when there's none?

Hi. I have produced a slideshow in Keynote which I am happy with. It is 60 slides run on a loop for a local event. One problem I am having is the first slide comes up blank and then plays to my first proper slide – this repeats on the loop. There is definitely no blank slide so any idea why it is doing it? I have attached my the thumbnails of my first few slide. TIA

Do you have any animations/transitions/build-ins applied to the first slide?

If so, that's your answer - if your slide is set to, say, Move In your logo then the presentation will start with a blank slate (technically, the initial state of that slide, not a whole new slide) and that's what you're seeing.

You may need to remove the build-in animations to avoid the blank slate, but there may be options depending on the nature of the presentation.
