How do I change the default styles of Keynote objects on MacBook Air?

Whenever I start a new document in keynote, I get the default styles dark colors without borders for any objects or in some templates, all in black. It is very difficult to imagine these vivid styles should be default. Is there any way to change these default styles and start with blank objects with black borders?

Check your settings.

Keynote has a preference setting (Keynote -> Settings -> General) for how to start a new presentation. Options include using a specific template, or showing the Theme Chooser you can select from:

If one of the other templates has the styles you want, just use that.

If none of them do, then create a new presentation using the template that most closely matches your preference, then choose View -> Edit Slide Layouts.

Now you'll see the slides for the various slide styles used in the template (Title, Agenda, Bullets, etc.) You can change any aspects the various slide layouts, color schemes, text styles, etc. and when you're done choose File -> Save Theme to save the presentation as a template for future presentations.
