Pages cursor jumps around in document

I am using Pages 14.4 (7043.0.93) on a computer with Sequoia 15.5. I am working on a book manuscript divided up in documents of 5-15 pages. I am using a strongly magnified view (400%) on a separate screen to my Mac Book Air Apple M4 16 GB. The problem is that the cursor jumps and the text moves away from where I want to focus. This does not seem to happen in the beginning of working with a chapter , say the first three Pges. Solutions, anyone?

You could try lowering the zoom to around 300% — it tends to stay more stable at that level and is still pretty readable. Another thing that often helps is switching to “Fit Width” under View - Zoom instead of sticking with a fixed zoom, since Pages seems to handle redraws and external monitor scaling better that way.
