I run a local quiz and I use a Numbers spreadsheet to calculate the answers. I have attached a screenshot for
the latest quiz.
However, when I try to "sort" the Total column, it does not do so correctly.
Any suggestions?

You will get better results if you define row 1 as a Header Row so the Team Name stays at the top.. Click the row number at the left and choose Convert to Header Row. Or click anywhere in the table and in the menu choose Table > Header Rows > 1. There is also a place in the inspector pane at the right under the Table tab where you can set this.
To sort click the K column letter and choose Sort Ascending.
Do you want all those rows that are blank except for the Total?

Do you mean SUM($C2:$J2) or maybe SUM(C2:J2) ?
$C$2:$J$2 is not a formula and SUM($C$2:$J$2) can't be filled down, you would have to type each formula individually.
For one of the rows that has a 0 after sorting (like Dippers B), look at the formula for that team before sorting. What is the formula there?
Thank you, Badunit, you are spot on. I have changed all the Total column to read SUM(C2:J2) etc. and it works perfectly now. No more missing a team score when giving them out in reverse order.

Something is wrong with your formula for the total. It is not adding up correctly. My first guess is that it includes values from other rows, not all values from the same row as the formula. Aside from the totals not being correct, this will cause problems when you sort.
Thank you for looking at this. I have now converted row 1 to be a Header Row, however, it is still not sorting properly:
I'm not that bothered about the rows that are zero - sometimes I have as few as 5 teams sometimes nearly 20, so I need to be prepared.

Looking at it today, the totals in the original table look correct. I have no idea what I was doing yesterday that didn't add up.
What is the formula in your Total column?

Badunit, perhaps you were including column B? This is to let me know which round a team has played their joker and can therefore double their points.
