Logic Pro disables input monitoring after 3 minutes

Greetings. For some reason Logic Pro continues to disable input monitoring if no audio is being input after about 3 minutes or so. I have to toggle input monitoring on and off for it to catch on again. I’ve tried all the suggestions in the settings but no luck.

I’m trying to use Logic Pro as a digital mixer for a DJ setup using an ssl12 sound interface to get the sound into Logic.

I’m simply trying to avoid having to toggle input monitoring on and off if I have to stop playing music for a while. Is there a way to stop this behavior? I appreciate any help in advance.

UPDATE: It seems as if the project is playing, logic will continuously monitor the input. if it is not playing, the input monitoring button must be toggled. Can this be avoided in any way?

Can you do me a favor, turn off "auto input monitoring"?

Also, I would try to update my version of Logic Pro. Just make sure you back everything up accordingly.

Back up the Logic Pro app

Create a new folder in the Applications folder. Name the folder with the name and version of the application (for example, "Logic Pro 11.1.2"). To check the version of Logic Pro you have, open the application and choose About Logic Pro from the Logic Pro menu.

Select the Logic Pro application in the Applications folder. Choose File > Compress "Logic Pro." It will take a few minutes to compress.

Move the resulting "Logic Pro.zip" file into the folder you created in step 1.

If you need to save space on your startup disk, move the folder containing the ZIP file to an external storage device, then delete the folder in your Applications folder.

Does Logic Pro have Full Disc Access and Microphone access as well (Privacy & Security)?

Can you try it out with "Auto Input Monitor" on and see if you like that behavior.

Can you turn this off?

Full disc access was not enabled for Logic Pro. I enabled it, and will try again.

Input monitoring only for the focused track...was disabled already. Update loading...

Thanks for your response! Everything's up to date. Auto Input Monitoring is off. Software monitoring is on. I've toggled focus track. Still no luck. However, it ran for hours looping playback. Could it be a playback setting?

Unfortunately, still no luck. Tried several different combinations with the input monitoring options. I've tried it with different audio interfaces, and the same behavior persists. I can actually hear when the inputs shut down, when the white noise goes away. Going to test to see if there's a software conflict between DJay Pro and Logic Pro.
