Logic loops preview key won't Change, Pls help.

I changed the key to a loop in the loop preview but when I try to hear the changed key version in preview (with the track), it goes back to the original key. I want to specify I'm NOT trying to Add the loop to the track, I only want to hear the different key changes in the Preview with the track in the background. I know how to change the key of a loop when I add it to the track, but when I'm previewing it in loops the key I set it to changes back to the original key. I checked the settings and nothing is selected. Ive clicked each setting and still no change. In the photo, I am aware its set to the key of c but again when I change it and try to hear it with the track, it goes back to it's original key, in this case being the key of c.

Ex: preview loop + key change = can hear key change

preview loop + key change + play track = original key ( cannot hear key change)
