My iPhone 16E still rings audibly with my Jabra Enhanced Pro hearing aids

I have had Jabra Enhanced Pro 20 hearing aids for a few years now. Started with an iPhone 12, and now have a 16E. Despite trying all the things I found online, and contacting Jabra support, my phone still rings audibly for both calls and texts while using the hearing aids.

My wife uses the same hearing aids with her 15 Pro Max phone. She didn't do anything except install the Jabra app, but her phone never rings audibly with her hearing aids in. It will ring audibly if she isn't wearing the hearing aids.

Anyone else have this issue, and how did you resolve it?

iPhone 16e, iOS 18

To side-step issues, it helps to:

Keep the iPhone's iOS version updated to the newest version available

(ie See if an update is waiting in Settings> General > Software Updates and back-up iPhone first if updating)

and

Keep the Hearing-Aids firmware (and app if you use one), up-to-date.

(ie: check with the hearing aids manual, your hearing-professional, or the hearing-aids manufacturer)

If you haven't yet tried these suggestions:

You can check: Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > "Play Ringtones" is turned on

and / or

You can automatically direct the audio of phone or FaceTime calls to the iPhone your hearing device.

iPhone can also automatically answer calls after a length of time you set.

See: Route and automatically answer calls on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

  1. "Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing, then choose an audio destination.
  2. Tap Auto-Answer Calls, turn on Auto-Answer Calls, then set the duration of time before the call is answered by tapping or .

During a call, you can switch the audio routing from your hearing aid to the iPhone speaker by removing the hearing aid from your ear."

Else: You may need to check that there is agreement between:iPhone hearing-aid settings,

and any Hearing-aids app settings in use
