Is Car Play fixed in 18.6.2

Yes apple will put a patch through. I’ll wait. I’ve done everything including restarting. And why does CarPlay not working make so many people angry and annoyed in this forum. IN MY CAR AND MY WIFES CAR RIGHT AFTER THE UPDATE IT QUIT WORKING THE NEXT DAY. Different cars.

Why don't you tell us exactly what the cars are... make model and year, and what audio systems are installed...

Toyota is notorious for compatibility problems. Subaru has had plenty of issues. BMW and Audi as well.

Those are only a few.

I have an old iPhone 12 Pro Max. Car Play was working perfect on a Mazda CX5 2021. After this f.....g 18.6.2 update Car Play disappeared from the car screen, at least I can hear the voice from Google Maps but no map on the car screen. Please fix this problem, I use this tool every day

Yeah, we have a tried the obvious troubleshooting that’s online. The issue is - it worked fine until 18.2 came out, then it’s been impossible since. I’ve bought so many different cables, have tried all the recommendation online and via Apple, and it’s the update.

Every troubleshooting attermpt you list points to your Honda Connect System especially if your Volvo XC60 works okay. You might want talk to your Honda dealer and see if an update is available. Car manufacturers have a duty to keep their systems compatible.

Things stopped working with iOS 18.x and now continue to not work with iOS 26. Your 2019 Honda’s software may no longer be compatible with the current version of CarPlay. If so, bummer.

For what it's worth my iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 26 works wirelessly as it always has with my 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. So the issue would seem to be with certain car brands and not others.

I have the iPhone 16 pro and yesterday after the update to 18.6.2 Carplay stopped working for me too. Any solution yet?
