Yesterday I updated my iMac to Sequoia 15.6.1. I had my wallpaper set to shuffle every 15 minutes. The option to shuffle the wallpaper has disappeared from the drop down menu in System Settings. I have re booted my computer several times and it hasn't helped. Any suggestions? The wallpaper will not change automatically.
I have subsequently found out that using my own photos allows for shuffle, but using the built-in Apple wallpapers does not offer the shuffle option.
My jpegs had two arrows in a circle. I clicked on that and the shuffle option came up. Someone posted a screenshot in this thread.

I was finally able to get it to work. Had a chat with Apple technical support and they told me that this functionality was no longer available. So not helpful of them. They need to get techs on the chats not to give out incorrect information
Sometimes tech support may not understand what user is asking, sometimes a user may not explains things well. Just to add, not every tech has the answers to everything macOS related. It happens here as well.
“No longer available” = 1 minute chat session, and on to the next to fulfill call handling quota. “Let’s take the time to dig into this and solve it” = longer chat session and less quota fulfillment.
I have had this happen with Amazon reps several times, where they have *blatantly lied* in order to wrap a chat session and get rid of me.
How did you get it working again?
I've never used this functionality but it seems, from this article, that only the wallpapers with the "double arrows" can be shuffled.
The drop down menu for how often you want the wallpaper to shuffle has disappeared. I’ve been using it for years. It was there yesterday. I saw it and then it was gone after I did the last update.
I am seeing this as well on 15.6.1. Very annoying- we're supposed to get OS upgrades as they become available, then they go and break something very basic.
