Re: "I have hearing aids and when I answer or make a call the party on the other end can’t hear me. I have to put it on speaker phone."

You might want to check whether your hearing aids are compatible with your iPhone, & Apple's hearing features:

You can look under the manufacturer's name in the List of Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

Also: Re: compatibility with Mac computers:

Article says: "MFi hearing devices marked with an asterisk (*) in the list above use bidirectional streaming, which allows you to talk hands-free. MFi hearing devices without an asterisk use unidirectional streaming"

___________

If compatible: There are iPhone settings you can use / fine tune: Eg: Settings > Accssibility > Hearing Devices

If needed: See "Control your hearing device" in the article below

More info Use Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

and / or if you use a Mac that the hearing-aids are compatible with:

See: Change Hearing Devices settings for accessibility on Mac - Apple Support

______________

If not compatible: Seems you will need to rely on the bluetoothh connection,

and, for contols:

any hearing aid firmware / updates / and / or app(s) available from the manufacturer.

______________

Re: Suggestions? Try checking the Manufacturer's support website, c

Consult the hearing-aid manual,.

See if your hearing professional may have help / support / special tips for those hearing-aids.

Hearing-aids may not have a microphone for speaking while phone call input is directed to the hearing-aids.

If it helps at all: You can try: Announce calls, messages, and more with Siri on iPhone - Apple Support
