How can I get 1440p @ 240Hz through my Dell WD19TB dock with a MacBook Pro M4?

I have a MacBook Pro M4 (2024) and a monitor that supports 1440p @ 240Hz.

- If I connect the monitor directly with an HDMI → USB-C cable (HDMI into the monitor, USB-C into the MacBook), I can get 1440p @ 240Hz.

- If I connect the monitor through my Dell WD19TB dock (HDMI into the monitor, dock connected to the MacBook via Thunderbolt), I only get 1440p @ 144Hz.

It seems like the dock is the limiting factor, but I’d really like to run everything through the WD19TB and still get 240Hz.

Is there any way to achieve 1440p @ 240Hz via the WD19TB, or am I stuck using a direct HDMI → USB-C cable?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.6
