Numbers pivot table: selectable/excluding rows

A question regarding spreadsheet design:

I have a pivot table with the pivot options where there’s one row (“Meal”) and Values like “Protein”, “Fat”, and “Carbs” which are columns in the pivot table.

I would like to be able to be able to easily select what meals that are included in this pivot table. Ideally a checkbox. How do I do a pivot table with selectable rows?
