Can you post a screenshot of your phone? My MacBook isn’t working on clear either. Clear is a solid light grey, except in the App Dock where I’d prefer colour. I changed my iPhone to clear now, how it looks depends on the wallpaper behind it.

This is what we mean about it being a light grey instead of that glassy effect.

Yes my transparency and motion and contrast are all off and no it does not have that glassy look with even an Apple Original wallpaper.

It’s light grey on macOS Tahoe for me. Clearly, no pun intended, it’s not working as it should for all.

You can all submit Product Feedback - Apple and hopefully a future update will fix it. Cute kitty btw 🐈‍⬛

Yes, grey opaque icons instead of the sort of see through look that the ones who have it looks like. It’s supposed to be the clear option on customization as it’s literally in the name. Clear. Though it obviously cannot be completely invisible, it still uses some transparency that you can see the background through the app with the exception of only the logo itself of the app icon being more opaque, but the “square” shape itself being transparent. I mean come on, look at these side by side and tell me the look the same to you.

Not all of the apps will have the look, third party apps won't have them.I have a iPhone 15 pro and I have the glassy effect

To all those posting here, without screen shots we have no idea what you mean by Glass Effect Not Working

In a nutshell this is the “transparent” glassy notifications dragged down over the “frosted” glassy app icons.

If the app icons were transparent it would be impossible to use.

I have the same problem on iPhone 16. The backgrounds of the folders are not clear but gray. And those apps that should have clear backgrounds are also gray or something like that. There is no clear at all.

Thanks for that idea but it did not work on me. If I have turned off reduce transparency and increase contrast and the motion was never on. Still no translucent appearance on my iPhone 16. But it does work on my iPad so I know what to expect! Obviously there is a larger issue here.

I have a less than 1 year old iPhone 16Pro, and I updated to ios26 a couple days ago. But the Liquid Glass does not work on my Home Screen, unless this page grey is what it is supposed to be. The only setting I have on in “Accessibility -> Display & Text Size” is auto brightness and I am using an Apple iOS26 wallpaper.

"Fixed" has many connotations when some want it more transparent, some more 'glassy', some want it gone completely.

App icons will never change with those settings, only the transparency of the overlays.

I’m also having this issues on my 13 pro max. I also noticed that the time on my lock screen still doesn’t have the depth to the glass effect like my mom’s 16 does. It has a slight effect to it but not as 3D I guess you could say. I changed all my settings as well.
