How to disable liquid glass in iOS 26?
Is there a way to completely disable the liquid glass functionality on iOS 26? I'm not going to get into a lengthy diatribe over why it's awful, I just want it gone.
iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 18

There's no off switch but however what I did is I went to settings-accessability-display & text size and reduced transparency and if that still isn't okay for you I would recommend scrolling down (same settings) and reducing white points atleast by 50% or however you like. It makes the icons less "shiny" in a way
If you have a backup you can downgrade to 18

Report it to the European Union Data team. It is more difficult for people with poor eyesight to use, and is thus discriminatory against age.
Wrong. Hopefully, you were not thinking about nonsense like an IPSW file.
Just updated my devices and I find the transparency makes reading and writing very difficult. I have done all of the suggested help options but just want my old settings back.
There is an option under accessibility to reduce contrast on my Mac but the slider is turned off.
What iPhone did you have before? You may need to reduce frame rate.
My clock is only partly visible in glass mode. Can you make it better so the last number of the time is clear
BugOS 26 is so broken. Basic problems with icons xD I’m not even trying moving anything. Just unlocked my phone and that’s what I see. Srsly ?

I installed it yesterday. It's the aesthetic apocalypse. Who thought that this was going to be an improvement or an innovation? OMG
This was very helpful. Thank you!!
I find it has also hampered native Apple aps. Could be an Android phone in my near future if something does not change.
You should always buy what you want. We don't care what you buy.
Copy/paste from Contacts app doesn't quite work. Reason is that the font color of the email address I copy is white, so is invisible when pasted.
Liquid Glass is an awful feature. You have to ask what on earth went through the minds of Apple when they forced this on their users

You are wise, though perhaps not quite all-knowing.
Hello~ I don’t know… I tend to believe that they are in fact all knowing!! ;-D
