I just received the new AirPods Pro 3 and had them engraved with my name like I did on my AirPods pro 2 case. Well it doesn’t show up on my screen like the others always have. Do they not allow this anymore? Can it be fixed to show up?

I also ran into the same issue with my AirPods Pro 3 engraving. But I noticed that on my 16 Pro Max the animation with my custom engraving did not show but on my iPad Pro M4 did. I was on the old iOS 26.0 and iPad OS 26.0. I was so confused why it worked on my iPad and not my iPhone. Ever since I downloaded the new iOS release 26.0.1 it solved my issue. Now it works perfectly on my iPhone.

Yeah just got off the phone with Apple and they said it’s an emerging issue so it’s happening to others. She told me to give it a week and see if it ends up showing up but Apple is aware of it and she said they are actively working on it as we speak. So hopefully it’s just a software issue and they can send out an update. Thanks for the reply.

I’m so sorry you are still experiencing the same issue. Have you tried removing your AirPods Pro 3 from “findmy” and maybe hold and press the green light on the case after to reset them when pairing them once again. To be honest mine worked on my iPad Pro but not my iPhone. After a few days from updating to 26.0.1 it magically popped up on my iPhone. Hopefully this helps.

I open up the AirPods Pro 2 and the engraving is still there.
AirPods Pro 3 - nothing. I've tried unpairing and repairing a couple of times, but no solution for me either unfortunately.
I did the same And even contacted Apple to no help! I’m going to return mine and keep my AirPods Pro 2 with my custom working engraving.
I’m also running into the same issue. Personally I might just return mine because of this downgrade. I love when apple offers free engraving to its products. I try to have all my Apple gadgets engraved. Unfortunately this was a downgrade from my AirPods Pro2.
So I did what you said and it actually worked but only for the initial setup. Once that part went away it doesn’t show up anymore. That tells me it’s definitely a software bug. Hopefully apple will figure it out soon so I’ll just wait till they do I guess. There’s no since in me returning them if it’s a software issue. Thanks for the tip
I bought the Apple AirPod pro 3 and had my name printed on the side. It is totally illegible as letters are so small that you cannot read it even with a magnifying glass, can I return them and have it done properly?

Hi! Can I still return AirPods within 14 days if they have engraving?
It seems that iOS 26.0.1 has fixed this problem, but the engraving only appears when connecting to iCloud for the first time. After that, it still does not appear.

Just wanted to give an update.
Today the AirPods are showing the engraving on all my devices so it looks to be fixed. Hopefully it is and it won’t disappear like it did before. Time will tell.
Can it be fixed if AirPods Pro 3 engraving doesn’t show on screen?
