since installing this my iPhone 15 pro max suddenly started to freeze and slow down. Battery depletion is increased. How can I go back to the iOS version prior?

Downgrading iOS has never been supported. When you install a major iOS update, like iOS 26, battery life and operation may be compromised for a few days. Give it some time and things will settle down.

Sorry but Apple does not support downgrading.
This is the type of frustration I do not like having since this struggle should have been avoided using beta testers. Now I have to wait for an update to fix this inconsistency.
Same issue with my iPhone 16 pro, I lost 1% after a couple days installing!! Apple please fix this!!!
