I am having the same issue. iPad 13 pro and IPhone 15 pro both upgraded to iOS 26 and now HP printer will not work. Rebooted and reconnected all to WiFi. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 [A82674]. Everything worked without a hitch before I upgraded to iOS 26. Both devices recognize printer, but when I hit print nothing happens.

HP seemingly only documents that printer series for use with Windows, though there are lots of variants.

And I find far too many unrelated hits for A82674, unrelated to any 3301-related models.

The HP tech specs do not list AirPrint, nor does the Apple AirPrint printer support article, which is a big problem. That means you are entirely dependent on the availability of HP driver and an HP printing app for those from Apple gear.

There is new firmware for most printers using some variant of 3301 name (3301sdw, 3301fdw, 3301cdw, etc) printer from July 2025. Load that. Either via the control panel, or via the web interface if this is typical HP.

Check with HP for details of whether they support AirPrint here.

DO NOT BUY A PRINTER WITHOUT AIRPRINT.

Why is it every single time there is an update something or somethings don’t work on the phone. Printing was simple, now doesn’t even show ‘print’ anymore. 🤬 🤯 W H Y ! ! !

There are printers which offer ease of use and reliability, and then there are the printers that get discussed around here. (Local recommendation is a Brother laser printer or multi-function with AirPrint support, and potentially also IPP/IPPS support.)

In recent years, Wi-Fi can add an extra dimension of “fun”. There are also Wi-Fi networks that are ill-configured, malfunctioning, or are encountering interference.

Using a Mac or PC to review the Wi-Fi network can help there, as can testing with the printer wired to the local network.

If yours is dropping offline every version, check the network and check the printer firmware.

As for history… The Onion has strongly- and colorfully-worded and colorfully-worded opinions on printers. Search for The Onion the printer hate machine for the comic. My recollection of printers isn’t quite as colorful as that from The Onion, but they’ve always been a varying hassle at times, and some printers and some printer vendors far more so. But that’s from installing, using, supporting, and repairing the infernal contraptions for, um, a while.
