MS office package for MAC M3 Air Montterey or other

Microsoft Office is available for purchase for the Mac...either as the full suite or through Microsoft 365

The Mac comes with it's own free office suite-type of programs:

Pages, Numbers and Keynote

Or there are also a few free Mac-compatible office-type suites that will also work, one of which is called LibreOffice.

If you mean if it comes with MS Office then the answer is no. You can install MS Office later or use the Apple pages, numbers or Keynote that is available.

Microsoft says that new installations of 365/Office require Ventura or higher. Very likely they will soon raise that minimum requirement to Sonoma.

Fortunately, the M3 MacBook Airs shipped with macOS 14.3 (Sonoma), and can run Sequoia and Tahoe.
