my mini homepod says my interent doesnt support peer to peer

I recently updated to 1 gig on spectrum after I switched my WiFi router none of my HomePods work or the mobile remote for Apple TV I reset everything and the they get stuck and say configuring is my HomePod/Apple TV to old? It’s says internet doesn’t support peer to peer? Thanks in advance

That is an issue with your Spectrum Router.

  • Make sure you are not signed into the guest account on the router.
  • Make sure that UPnP is enabled on the router

  • Make sure there is no firewall being used on the router.


It may help to know the router model number as Spectrum uses many. For some models, you connect a computer to the router for changes, others use the Spectrum app, and also some options can only be changed by Spectrum with a phone call.
