Apple Wallet breaks when in Assistive Access mode

When in assistive access mode I am unable to use my debit card stored in apple wallet. Assistive access seems to disable the double click feature to pay, and will turn off the phone. I have tried both using face id and passcode, but neither seem to work. I don't want to use an express transit card as I still want to type in my passcode before paying.

The only way to use apple wallet is to exit assistive access, pay, then re enter. I know that apple wallet is not an "optimized" app for assistive access, but I at least want it to have basic functionality.

Any solution to this?
