Remove the iPhone, power down the device, rinse with cold tap water and dry with paper towel etc. Let dry a day and turn back on.

Do not put the phone in rice to “dry it out.”

Tiny particles of rice can get stuck in the ports and expand, clogging the ports and trapping water inside of the phone.
