Cursor jumps back while typing on MacBook Air M2 after macOS Tahoe update

Hey everyone,

I have a MacBook Air M2, and since I updated to (I believe) Tahoe, I’ve been getting this super annoying issue: every once in a while my Mac seems to freeze for less than a second while typing. When that happens, I’ll keep typing, but then I notice that the last few characters/words I typed show up in the middle of the sentence instead of at the end where they should be.

It’s like the cursor jumps back for a moment or lags behind and then inserts text in the wrong spot.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas on what’s causing it or how to fix it? It’s driving me nuts! Also all apps are up to date as well as Mac OS.
