Please I subscribed for apple music through the mtn play but it's not working but the service is active

You will need to work with MTN to link your account to the Apple Music subscription. That is a common problem with MTN where they will accept the payment for the subscription, but it has not been linked to the Apple Account you are using for Apple Music.
