Continual Dinging while charging apple watch only since the update 2 days ago.

2 days ago I completed all updates - on iMac, iPhone and Apple Watch. Since then, while charging, the watch continually dings (like when it first connects). The charger is fine and charges the phone without issue. The watch is also charging. Just making the dinging noise. This ONLY started after the updates. I've also noticed other changes since the updates - my iMessages changed and were not syncing with my iMac. I did not make these changes. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Has the battery of your Series 6 ever been replaced?

You are using the original USB cable which came with the watch and an Apple power adapter?

Did you try to install watchOS again, without using the latest backup, to rule out damaged data?

my watch series 8 always did this when induction charging ( on the same 3rd party charger as my phone)

I used a larger power brick to feed the charger, and that solved the problem, and now both can charge at the same time..

This is a common complaint when using 3rd party chargers or 3rd party power bricks.

There really isn't a fix other than to use a genuine Apple power brick and the charger that came with the watch.

It doesn't hurt anything, it's just annoying.

The battery is the same. Again, there were no issues before the update. Charger is the same, watch is the same. My iPhone is charging just fine. I will try to install watchOS again. I have noticed that my watch "acts up" if I don't update though. But I'll try. Thank you.

Did you check the battery health in the settings for battery?

I had to replace the battery of my old Series 5 after almost 3 years, when it dropped below 80% and I had to charge my watch twice a day.

The Battery Health is calculated new after at least after each update of watchOS.

Apple watch keeps pinging while on charger showing fully charged. I have tried other chargers with the same results. My wife's watch is fine on all chargers. It started about two updates ago.
