macOS Tahoe: Obtrusive bar at the bottom of the dictionary popup (look up gesture)

After upgrading to macOS Tahoe, the dictionary popup has a very obtrusive bar at the bottom.

It blocks visible areas. And what's worse, it also blocks the controls at the bottom.

Can someone please tell me if this is a bug or if it's something wrong with my settings?

I cannot reproduce this, but the 'bar' at the bottom for me has various app links in it:

Having said that, it appears to be a form of a known bug with Tahoe where UI elements show up as white text on a white background. It occurs on a white background, but not on a dark background. You can see that here, where I'm decreasing the width of this Apple Support Communities post window in Safari with a second Safari window behind it, that one with a black background.

What happens in the Lookup popup if you 'swipe right' (two fingers) over the popup?

For me, that moves through the results categories at the bottom (next up is the 2017 film starring Ashley Judd). I do think that empty, semi-transparent bar is the place where those results categories are supposed to be but aren't showing up for you.

This is tied to Spotlight, and in my experience with Tahoe so far, Spotlight is fairly riddled with bugs of various sorts. I think Apple bit off more than a mouthful when they tried to expand Spotlight functionality to include Launchpad, just my $0.02.
