Since MacOS 26 Tahoe I am not able to search for folders using Spotlight. It only shows files or items, but not folders. Is anyone experiencing the same and is there a way to fix it? Opening folders through Spotlight used to be part of my workflow.
I just tried it in macOS 26.0.1 and I get folder results using Spotlight search.
Do you have the macOS 26.0.1 update patch installed? If not, install that update patch to see if that makes any difference.
Try booting into Safe Mode to see if that makes any difference.
If Safe Mode doesn't make any difference, then perhaps try rebuilding the Spotlight Index:

If you have search for folders turned on, as neuroanatomist showed, it could be that the search returns too many results, and so folder results are buried beneath many others.
You can restrict to folders like this:
